WHMIS: Worker Awareness

Any worker that works with or around chemicals requires WHMIS training. This course meets the general awareness training requirements for the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System including:

• incorporation of GHS into WHMIS
• classification awareness
• material safety data sheets
• supplier and workplace labels
• and more

Includes road, rail, air and sea general awareness.

This course is designed to teach a general awareness of dangerous goods that could be encountered by handlers, as required by the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Includes ICAO Requirements

This course is designed to teach the additional requirements of how to ship dangerous goods by air, as required by the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations including: shipping descriptions; packing instructions; marking; labelling; segregation; etc.

Pre-registration requirements
Participants must have a good understanding of the ground shipping requirements.
This would be demonstrated by completing the Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Ground: Shipper, or equivalent.

All participants require access to a copy of the current regulations while taking the course:
* ICAO Technical Instructions, or
* IATA DGR (commercial field document)
